How to play rock drum set for beginner

If you are looking for a simple step to learn how to play drum, then you are now on the right track. This is the basic guideline on how to play rock drum kit.

If you know nothing about drum, then before you want to have a drum set, you might need a pair of drumstick and a metronome to start off. I would recommend a 5A size drumstick as it is nice to grab and hold. Why would you need a metronome? Simple, keeping your beat while having fun hitting the drum set is very crucial. If you can keep your beat, then all you need is to have fun playing it. Plug in a headphone into your metronome and practice a single stroke on 4 counts with different tempo. If you have more money to spend, you can purchase a soft surface drum pad and hit on it. If you prefer not to buy one, just hit on any surface and keep it safe.

Happy with your rudiment progression? Now go get a drum set! For a beginner, a drum set with a hi-hat, two toms on the bass, a floor tom, a ride cymbal and a crash cymbal will be enough because you will need to throw some fills even it’s the most basic beat of drum. Here is a video for beginner on how to play drum. If you follow the guide and practice the crucial part which is beat, you will be good in no time.
